About Me:
I am from inner-city Indianapolis, IN -- 38th and Keystone area. I was introduced to hip hop at the age of 10, and I have felt connected ever since. I would free style with friends and battle anyone who wanted to. My DJ at the time was Mohamed, and we would mix music and record my vocals over 5 tape decks (LOL). It was fun to see what we would come up with (good times ). About this time I met Arctic Funk when Mohamed and I did a show at Kilimanjaro’s. Arctic was in to what we were doing and wanted to do some music together, so we hooked up and I met his DJ, Elpmas. Arctic had some songs that were done and they were good, so we started writing a song together. At Arctic’s first show, he asked me to be on stage with him (to perform the song we did together), and we rocked the house. Arctic wanted me to meet Aware, one of his friends that did hip hop in New York. When we met, I asked what Aware was going to do: hook up and do music with us or not. Aware did in fact hook up with us and started making music. Aware knew two guys out of NYC, Chris and Alfredo, who worked on making tracks for hip hop crews in NY. These tracks are still some of the best I’ve ever heard in my time doing hip hop. In the beginning we would stay up for 2 to 4 days with no sleep working on our demo, show material, etc. We formed the crew Farmers Market and put out some of the nicest hip hop in Indianapolis. There were contracts that we looked at, but we felt we could do things on our own: put out our CD, book our own shows. . .Man, were we young and naïve! We stopped doing music for a minute, and a minute turned in to days and months, and we never got back on track. I went through a divorce that devastated me, so I stopped writing music all together. I gave myself to God at this time. I felt that I had turned away from God when I was married, so I let God know if it takes me to lose everything I have to walk with Him, so be it. I did lose everything, but I never took my eyes off God and kept reading His Word. 10 years later, I’ve found a new crew in Warriors 4 Christ. God has been so good to me. He has put me here with a crew of brothers and sisters who care about you and each other. God bless to all and much love………
